Question

...and then been TOTALLY bowled over at how adorable or beautiful it was once you saw it in person?

I have purchased numerous retired (mostly Today) outfits over the past few weeks, and a few of them have just blown me away. Most namely, they are:

Dockside outfit -- absolutely too cute for words, possibly my new all-time fave

Breezy Day outfit -- 10 times lovelier than expected

Cargo outfit -- extremely well made and adorable

Anybody else experience this? If so, what outfits?

I recently got the camping outfit. The boots are so cute! and the detail on the jacket is great! The dockside is on my wishlist. Maybe after the tax return .

Yes - and I always think, why did AG stop making this adorable outfit? I am almost always surprised in a good way!

Oh yes, just yesterday I received the Shimmery Gold Dress and was totally blown away at how beautiful it was. It was a great purchase!

I'm off to check out the Dockside Outfit now!

YES -- go for the Dockside outfit!! I don't know what it is about that thing, but it is almost too adorable to look at! It's far cuter in person than it is in any picture. Unfortunately, it is selling for $40-$50 dollars on eBay these days. I paid a little less for mine (a bit of a splurge), but it was worth every penny. You could probably get it cheaper listed incorrectly.

Does anyone have the Flower Power outfit? It is really hot on eBay right now -- someone paid $66 for it the other day!! I found one incorrectly listed as the Field Trip outfit (which is adorable but much cheaper and easier to find) and got it for much less. It should be here in a day or so -- can't wait!

I felt that way about the:

Cargo Outfit - so cute, I wish AG would make more casual separates like this.

Green Velvet Holiday Overalls and Silk Blouse - absolutely adorable, great quality.

Valentine Outfit - I bought this from ebay a few months ago, but just gave it to my daughter and she is thrilled with it.

Old Skating outfit -the dark purple one, absolutely beautiful.

Yeah, I've come across a few items like that too.

The retired Snowflake pj's are so cute! I always thought they were blue from pictures, but they are a lovely purple!

The retired Valentine dress is soooo adorable in person, and also Kirsten's Work dress and her Skating coat and skates are so adorable on her!

I think though, that the items I've been most impressed with that I've gotten so far are the accessory sets. (These came straight from AG) Lissie's Noah's Ark (current one), Kirsten's lunch, Nighttime Neccessities and Fishing set are all so well made!

I also got Elizabeth's doll when it was on special last month, and it is so amazing! It feels like it's made of real wood, and her arms and legs move. Her dress is so cute, and her hair is adorable! Since I don't have Elizabeth yet, Felicity is enjoying playing with Charlotte.

Keep up the great work, AG!!

I just remembered something else, it's the retired Nightshirt and Slipper set. If you look on this page of Curt's site, it's under retired outfits for 2000.

When I saw it on ebay, I had never seen or heard of it before, but it's really cute and the socks are so adorable!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes! Yes! and Yes! I have too many too name, but they all have come and just "blow" me away completely! It continously amazes me that no matter how old the items; AG quality seems to outlast time!

I have the ones you mentioned and love them all! AG is #1 top notch dollie quality in my book!
